Setting the Bar Kind of High, Aren't They?
Look, I know this is way off topic, and I'm nobody's Lileks or anything, but I just had to share this message that I found in my inbox...
See there? It's a restaurant and they're serving Restaurant Quality pasta!
Pretty bold move. I hope it doesn't come back to bite them. Because from the pictures, it looks more to me like Church-Potluck Quality pasta -- or possibly even Hospital-Cafeteria Quality pasta.
But what do I know? Way to reach for the stars, Pizza Hut!
UPDATE: Instalanche. I'm so inspired by this entry's success that I'm going to try to write several blog-quality posts over the next few days. And today at work, my goal is to make one or two middle-management quality decisions. Fingers crossed!

"Church-Potluck Quality pasta"
i'm sorry, but here in the south, most church potluck food is way better than anything found in a national chain "restaurant"
can't speak much for the rest of the nation, though...

I attended many a church potluck in the south, and I can tell you that it's the same there as everywhere -- when the food's good, it's great. When it's not...yeouch. The above refers to the latter.

So they're going to take this product out of their freezer, microwave it and drive it to my house? And I'm sure that since I'm ordering from the Pasta/Pizza Hut that I will surely be able to order a carnivore's special pie along with this restaurant-quality carb overload. Hopefully they can bring me a two-liter of HFCS and brominated vegetable oil to wash it all down....

Well- in defense of Pizza Hut - their poitn is that they are delivering restaurant quality pasta. Though as a descriptor- i can think of more appealing ones than"RQ".
And if they do send it with vegetable oil- you could run your diesel with it.
