Friday Video: Computer Timesharing in 1963

My phone is more powerful!!!!!!!

How long was it before the question was, "How can we make it useful for one user to utilize >1 computer at a time?"

I thought was interesting that half a century later we're still not particularly good at human computer interaction. In fact, I'd love to see error handlers ("sure") prompt me with valid inputs ("yes" or "no") - but system complexity has grown more quickly than the ability to provide useful help. Out helpdesk routinely gets calls with meaningless error numbers or "it doesn't work and nobody knows why." You might think we could employ computers to solve the kinds of problems that are caused by using computers. :)

for the record, I liked this video. It was interesting. I had intended to comment earlier but feared my nostalgia for time I did not live in would sound... misplaced. :)
