I Knew They Couldn't Be Trusted

Tomatoes are carnivores.

This shouldn't come as any surprise. Sneaky little suckers. They're actually fruit, you know, not vegetables. And now it turns out that they're not even vegetarians.

I still like 'em on dark rye bread with sauerkraut.

What kind of example are these plants setting for the Singularity Being, or for ETs. How do we get them to make the switch to vat meat?

I noticed potatoes are also carnivores. I'm reminded of the following Stanislaw Lem quote:


If Man has mashed countless potatoes, could not potatoes be expected to mash a man?
