Finding Home
One of the first things I've taught my children as they start preschool is to recite their address and phone number. If they can tell a responsible adult how to find my wife or I, the hope is that we could be contacted quickly if they were lost.
Here's some anecdotal evidence that this works. In Japan one youngster was reunited with his family after telling a doctor his name and address.
This is especially impressive because this little fella isn't human. He is a parrot named Yosuke. Interestingly, he wouldn't talk at the police station. After he was taken to the vet he calmed down and started talking.

Birds are apparently a lot smarter than they "should" be -- that is, than we expect them to be.
