It's a New Phil, Week 24
The Big Five Oh
As of last Friday, I was still weighing in at the stubborn one-pound-to-go weight of 248 pounds. However, I knew I would get a second shot this week because I had my every-two-months appointment with Dr. Harris this morning to check on my progress.
Bingo.
Down two more pounds to 246, providing for a total weight loss of 51 pounds! (So the above should really read "the big five one," but that doesn't seem as dramatic.)

It's a New Phil, Week 18
It's a New Phil, Week 19
I was on vacation during week 21 and did not post an entry, but thanks for noticing the blank space!

A big congrats man! Have you reached your goal? From the picture it looks like you have.
And the best thing is that you did it in a way that you can maintain the weight loss - sensible changes with no starvation.
What we need now is a refresher course on exactly what you did (and didn't do) to lose the weight.

Thanks, buddy.
No, I haven't quite reached it yet. If I lose 50 more pounds I'll be at 197, which might actually be thinner than I want to be. I have a large frame and I've been trying to build muscle mass. So my immediate goal is to lose 30 more pounds and then assess where I need to go from there.
Great idea on the refresher. I'll do a review of the first six months in my next installment.
