Well, it's just about time for my semi-annual foray into the world of sports. Not doing the World Cup recap; it's been done to tatters. (I did like this take on the whole Zidane thing, however.)

We're talking baseball, here, folks. And I don't mean that whole business of the National League once again managing to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the All-Star game. Who cares?

Much more exciting is the back-to-back victories of Denver Southeast over Lamar in the Colorado state little league series earlier this week. My nephew racked up 5 RBIs to send his team on to North Dakota for the Regionals. Way to go, Slugger!
