Future Salons
For those for whom it is an option, I highly recommend joining up with your local ASF-affiliated Future Salon. I currently participate online with the Boulder Future Salon, although I haven't made it to any of the meetings yet. (Maybe this month?)
In recent months, the Boulder salon has taken on such topics as global warming and the relationship between brain science and AI. This month the group will be discussing the future of religion via a fairly controversial book.
Of course, we've had our own discussion about the future of religion (sort of) in recent weeks here at the Speculist, so I'm really hoping to make this meeting.
