Words of wisdom from Steve Jobs. You've got to love this one:

I've always wanted to own and control the primary technology in everything we do.

Steve Jobs is right. It is better for you to define the market rather than let your competitors do it for you.

This attitude also requires you to obsolete your products before your competitors do. Apple has done a good job in this regard.

A metaphorical pirate, perhaps. Real pirates were hung by the neck until dead, dead, dead, when caught.

My favorite:

"Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugared water or do you want a chance to change the world?"

Based on the outcome of the most recent confrontation to make the news, I'd much rather be in the Navy.
