FastForward Radio with Special Guest Alex Lightman
The H+ Summit is a two day event that explores how humanity will be radically changed by technology in the near future. Visionary speakers will explore the potential of technology to modify your body, mind, life, and world.
What will it mean to be a human in this next phase of technological development? How can we prepare now for coming changes?
We foresee the feasibility of redesigning the human condition and overcoming such constraints as the inevitability of aging, limitations on human and artificial intellects, unchosen psychology, lack of resources, and our confinement to the planet earth. The possibilities are broad and exciting. The H+ Summit will provide a venue to discuss these future scenarios and to hear exciting presentations by the leaders of the ongoing H+ (r)evolution.
A few seats are still available. Don't delay. Sign up now.
Some background on the event here.
More here.

I want to bring new tools, primarily software that helps people and their tools connect, that will enable civilization-level, historically-significant advances, into the world. I also want to create massive increases in the wealth of humanity by taking everything public and increasing the information about the relative value of almost everything. | ![]() |
Here's the video interview we did with Alex a while back.
For a real blast from the past, here' the original interview we did with Alex on 4g back in the primordial days of the Speculist.

Sounds good, count me in.

Are Mr. Lightman's software tools intended to help create a market for these new advances so that all may partake or something different? And what does "taking everything public" mean, data transparency or the stock market model perhaps?
Looking forward to tonight's show, this could be an important mechanism for getting there from here.

Great conversation with Alex! His energy and insight make for a stimulating show. I had signed up early for the summit (so happy to have an event in my neck of the woods for a change!), and it sounds like it will be excellent! As part of my signup, I received a discount code that I can give to friends for 20% off whatever the current ticket price is up to--get in touch with me through Phil or Steve if you want to take advantage.

Leslie --
Thanks for the offer, but I can't quite make a trip to the east coast work that weekend. I think Stephen is similarly pressed.
But perhaps we should talk about having you there as our official Speculist / FFR correspondent?

I'd be happy to try to do some blogging for you that weekend or something like that. Get in touch via email ahead of time and let me know what you have in mind.
